Lecciones aprendidas en la subcuenta para la mitigación de emergencias Covid-19 del Fondo Nacional para la Gestión de Riesgos

The objective of this research is to document the lessons learned in managing the COVID-19 pandemic in Colombia, focusing on the COVID-19 Sub-account of the National Disaster Risk Management Fund. To achieve this, a qualitative methodology was used, including the collection of normative data, interviews with key actors, and thematic analysis. The results highlight the importance of inter-institutional coordination, the acquisition and distribution of medical equipment and vaccines, and the implementation of communication and tracing strategies. It is recommended to strengthen the response capacity for future pandemics by improving health infrastructure and continuously documenting lessons learned. Limitations included the lack of resources in some regions and the need for better coordination. The originality of the study lies in its comprehensive and detailed approach to pandemic management in a specific context. The conclusions emphasize the importance of teamwork and flexibility in responding to health emergencies, significantly contributing to the field of risk management and public health.
