Modelo de madurez en transformación digital para fortalecer la sostenibilidad en las empresas privadas
Digital transformation has become an essential strategic process for private companies in Colombia, as it enables market value creation by strengthening competitiveness and sustainability in a BANI environment. This process brings many benefits, including a significant reduction in manually performed workload, increased customer satisfaction through streamlined procedures, improved quality of service, and the promotion of innovation and business modernization, among others. In Colombia, only 7 % of organizations that have started this process have reached advanced maturity levels, revealing significant shortcomings in digital transformation strategy, as well as factors such as limited financial resources, cultural resistance to change, and a shortage of specialized talent. This situation presents an opportunity to develop a model to diagnose and characterize digital maturity in private firms, to propose strategic courses of action. The purpose of this research is to develop and validate a digital maturity model that identifies gaps and proposes action routes that positively impact the effectiveness and sustainability of companies’ digital transformation processes. To triangulate information for model development and ensure a comprehensive analysis, a mixed-methods approach is proposed, integrating quantitative tools (structured surveys) and qualitative tools (interviews with executives and organizational leaders). In this way, the study seeks to produce a tool that guides companies in creating sustainable value by strengthening digital strategies. Expected results include identifying critical gaps, diagnosing maturity levels across multiple dimensions, and formulating action routes applicable to the Colombian business context.
