Análisis diferencial de la autoeficacia de emprendedores y empresarios establecidos a nivel global
Today, competitiveness is influenced by the effectiveness of regions in promoting projects related to enterprise creation, and to that extent, the characteristics of the entrepreneurs' profile, or what has been called Self-efficacy, have become crucial, as they are related to the likelihood of becoming an entrepreneur who achieves the status of an established businessman. In this study, data from the Global Entrepreneurship Monitor GEM survey of adult population for the years 2021 and 2022 were utilized, where multilevel data analysis techniques, based on machine learning, were used to generate a statistical model executed through the R software. The dependent variables were the individual’s self-efficacy in entrepreneurship (TEA) and established businesses (ESTBBUSO), which were compared with new or nascent entrepreneurs. The aim of this research is to establish the differential impact of variables associated with individual’s self-efficacy on both entrepreneurs and established businessmen, in order to explore differences that exist in two distinct phases of an entrepreneur's journey. Among the most important results, it was found that the likelihood of individuals having a propensity to start a business increases mainly in people who perceive themselves as knowledgeable and skilled in creating businesses, as well as with entrepreneurial potential. Established businessmen also significantly increase due to their perception of knowledge and skills in creating businesses.
