Abriendo caminos de investigación comunitaria: la psicosociología como campo emergente

The book starts from a critique of hegemonic visions of psychology based on a process of decentralization of the discipline from which its inability to understand-transform the reality of exclusion-pauperization of large sectors of the Latin American population due to the establishment of a market economy sustained by a neoliberal vision is demonstrated. After analyzing the use of words such as psychosocial, resilience, among many others that are established as ideological slogans, psychosociology is proposed as an emerging field of community research-transformation, a methodological position is presented, and various strategies of participatory community work are analyzed. In essence, the book develops a proposal for emergent and alternative community work to hegemonic visions that psychologize or sociologize reality. The book intends to open new debates regarding community work and the theoretical perspectives that currently hold hegemony in such work.
