Resumen
The present thesis aimed to stablish the effectiveness of the acceptance and commitment therapy on people with cancer diagnosis. The studies were recollected from Scopus, NCBI, Web of Science y Psicodoc data bases, that boarded researches in Spanish, English, and Portuguese languages. There were found 315 articles and 15 were selected for the review, 4 studies were developed on clinical population, meanwhile 11 were on non-clinical population. From the total of articles, 12 researches showed effectiveness in the intervention of the variables addressed, the remaining three do not show significant effectiveness from the reported data. The present systematic review, provided information that accounted for, how the application of this therapy from brief protocols can improve the state of emotional disorders, quality of life, adherence on medical processes, among others, to give support on this type of diseases in a short period of time.
