Resumen

Introduction: The present study had the purpose of validating the ORTO-15 instrument in a population of 547 university students of both sexes, belonging to different faculties of a private university in Medellín, who applied the instrument anonymously and confidentially; Objectives: to validate the ORTO-15 instrument with Colombian population composed of university students from the city of Medellín; Methodology: For the review of the data, some internal consistency analyses were performed through Cronbach's alpha coefficient of the ORTO-15 scales and a confirmatory factor analysis by structural equation modeling of the dimensions evaluated in the ORTO-15 test; Results: which generated as a result a model structured in three dimensions: cognitive, emotional and clinical. The factors were integrated by six, five and four manifest items in each one; Discussion : the factorial results of the instrument, knotted to the antecedents with a similar factorial structure, it is necessary to advance with convergent validity studies, from the clinical evaluation of experts contrasted with the results of the ORTO-11 instrument to evidence the specificity of the instrument to identify this specific ACT.Conclusions: Convergent construct validity can be identified by the similarity of the factorial weights of the manifest variables and the latent variables that define them; however, the covariances between the latent variables do not allow identifying divergent construct validity between the dimensions evaluated. These are: between the cognitive and clinical dimensions, 0.683 (p<0.001); between the cognitive and emotional dimensions, 0.919 (p<0.001); and between the clinical and emotional dimensions, 1.0 (p<0.001).
