Resumen
The present investigation evaluated the quality of the artificial lake at the Usme campus of UAN through the analysis and correlation of macroinvertebrates and physicochemical parameters. Three zones of the lake were examined over time, observing variations in aquatic vegetation, water level, and physicochemical conditions such as pH, COD, turbidity, and conductivity. Macroinvertebrates indicative of pollution were identified, suggesting a mesotrophic to eutrophic state in the water, evidenced by the presence of species tolerant to these conditions, such as Diptera and annelids. The relationship between the presence of macroinvertebrates and the physicochemical parameters highlighted the importance of continuously monitoring the lake to understand and control pollution levels. The results obtained show that macroinvertebrates as bioindicators are a valuable tool and provide significant information about the quality conditions of aquatic ecosystems.
