Resumen
This article provides an overview of the use of lightweight construction systems in civil engineering projects. These systems have emerged as a promising alternative for bringing the construction sector up to date with technology and achieving a cost-benefit balance in projects. These systems, which utilize lightweight materials and innovative techniques, have proven key to reducing the structural load of construction projects without compromising their strength and durability. This document investigates the fundamentals and application of these systems in civil infrastructure projects, focusing on their viability in terms of cost reduction, execution schedule, and sustainability.
