Resumen
This research analyzes the trade tensions between Colombia and the United States and evaluates Colombia's potential accession to the BRICS bloc as a ommercial diversification strategy. Using a mixed methodology, combining qualitative analysis of official sources and quantitative analysis of historical trade data and projections through linear regression, the study identifies Colombia's opportunities and challenges in the current context. The results show Colombia’s critical dependence on the U.S. market, the risks posed by protectionist policies, and the strategic potential of the BRICS bloc for Colombia’s economic iversification, investment,and long-term growth.
