Resumen
In the municipality of Duitama, Boyacá, there is an air quality monitoring system that records parameters such as particulate matter (PM2.5, PM10), carbon dioxide (CO₂), and carbon monoxide (CO), among others. However, prior to this project, there was no platform available to allow the community and local authorities to visualize the collected information. As a result, citizens and decision-makers lacked access to real-time data on pollution levels, which hindered their ability to make informed decisions regarding exposure to contaminated air. To address this issue, a web application was developed to monitor air quality in Duitama. This tool provides the public with access to pollution level data through a user-friendly and comprehensible interface. Additionally, the system generates alerts when pollution levels exceed recommended thresholds, contributing to more effective environmental management.
