Resumen
This paper primarily addresses the evolution of international trade globally and in Colombia, highlighting the history and role freight forwarders play in facilitating imports and exports. However, a growth in imports is evident, understanding that the country faces a trade deficit. TIBA is a highly relevant company in the logistics sector both globally and nationally, growing significantly after its merger with BEMEL, becoming TIBA Colombia, offering a variety of services to the country's international trade operations. The internship at TIBA provided a memorable opportunity to apply knowledge in an international trade work environment, allowing the company to develop essential skills for a future career in the logistics field.
