Resumen
This study explores the perceptions of ninth-grade students at the Siete de Agosto Educational Institution in Manizales regarding intrinsic motivation and its influence on meaningful learning. Using semi-structured focus Group and individual interviews, we investigated how students relate to internal motivation in their educational process. The resultsrevealed that students perceive intrinsic motivation as a key factor in their engagement in academic activities, highlighting that interest in the topics and autonomy in learning foster their participation and enjoyment
