Resumen
This article presents the development and validation of an automated tool for designing water distribution networks in accordance with EAAB's NS-028 standard. Building on a methodology previously used for sewer systems (SewerGEMS), a macro in Excel with VBA was replicated and adjusted to integrate WaterGEMS data and automatically generate technical drawings in AutoCAD. The process aims to improve efficiency, minimize human errors, and standardize the format of deliverables required by EAAB. The tool was validated using two neighborhoods previously approved by the utility company, confirming its accuracy compared to manually produced plans.
