Resumen

In this research, we tried to evaluate the energy potential of biogas obtained by anaerobic digestion of waste from the agro-industrial sector, and to achieve this we started with a theoretical characterization of waste such as porcinaza, sugar cane, cattle manure, poultry manure among others, with which biogas could be generated, which facilitated the selection of cattle manure as the most suitable substrate for this project, the next step was to adapt a 200 Lt biodigestor, where the process automation of a biodigester was achieved by means of Arduino sensors, pipeline for biogas conduction and programming with Arduino board for monitoring operation parametersKeywords: Biogas; agroindustrial waste; biodigester; energy potential; automation; in addition, the removal of COD and the generation of biogas were monitored during operation; finally, the energy potential of the produced biogas was quantified by applying the Seebeck effect with a prototype made with peltier cells, resulting in an energy potential of 10.38 W and an efficiency of 97% of the prototype, which is equivalent to keeping a LED bulb on, cell phone charger or small water pump for an aquarium.
