Resumen
The objective of this research was to develop and validate a GIS tool that integrates, standardizes, and visualizes information from wastewater treatment systems (WTS) in Colombia, in order to support decision-making and the monitoring of national sanitation goals. The research has a technological development design with a descriptive approach: a geospatial database was created in PostgreSQL/PostGIS, populated with 18 attributes from official sources (SUI-SSPD, CARES-CAR, open data) and then linked to an interactive dashboard in ArcGIS Online. Information was collected using SQL scripts and the import of CSV files; 385 WTS were consolidated with their coordinates, flow rates, treatment type, and removal efficiencies, ensuring data interoperability and real-time query. The results show that the tool reveals a dense distribution of STARs in highly urbanized areas (Sabana de Bogotá, Valle de Aburrá, Cali, Barranquilla) and allows for comparisons of treated flows (35.7 m³/s nationally) and efficiencies by department. The resulting inventory is more than seven times higher (385 vs.
