Propuesta de mejora del proceso de elaboración de calzado de cuero en la empresa Land Grover S.A.S.

Resumen

This project consists of developing a proposal for improving Land Grover's production process. This research approach is of a mixed nature, utilizing descriptive, exploratory, and applicative approaches. An initial diagnosis of the company's situation was performed, and deficiencies were sought and identified in key stages of the process, such as the roughing area and the transportation of material or product to the finishing area. An analysis was performed to address these deficiencies. This included a review of the current process using a flowchart, simulations, and observation of the current plant design. The company's capacity and efficiency were calculated using indicators provided by the company, such as daily production and labor time. Two process improvement proposals were designed, which included a new plant layout, a time and distance analysis, and a cost analysis for implementing these proposals. A comparison between the proposals and the company's current situation was also made. The best alternative for the company was decided, primarily considering implementation costs and time improvements. This was achieved through simulations and collected figures. These resultsdemonstrated an increase in process capacity, improved workflow distribution, and a significant increase in the company's productivity.
