Implementación de la metodología 5´S en los procesos operativos en el punto de venta de super carnes Karmel

Resumen

The purpose of this study is to apply the 5S methodology to Super Carnes Karmel, a meat company. The initiative arose from the problem of disorganization at the point of sale, which affects operational efficiency and creates risks of cross-contamination. Through the diagnosis, key areas were identified for intervention using the five stages of the 5S method: classification, order, cleanliness, standardization, and sustainability. The implementation included schedules, resource allocation, and performance indicators. The results showed improvements in order and cleanliness, the elimination of unnecessary items, a more conscious team of good manufacturing practices, increased operational efficiency, and positive customer perception.
