Resumen
The Colombian health system is mainly structured around two key actors: the Health Promotion Entities (EPS) and the Health Service Providers (IPS). The EPS are responsible for enrolling users and managing the provision of services, while the IPS are in charge of direct care. Despite their importance for the proper functioning of the system, both entities face multiple conflicts, such as a lack of coordination and financial disagreements, which negatively impact the quality and efficiency of the health services offered to citizens.
