Resumen
The present research is framed within the purpose of investigating the socioemotional impact and identity resignification in Colombian migrants residing in Spain. The methodology implemented is qualitative as it collects narratives, opinions and experiences about the migratory processes that may influence the transformation of personal identity and its resignification, considering sociocultural factors, adaptation to the new environment and changes in psychosocial behavior. The information was obtained through the application of a semistructured interview, which provided answers that address the challenges faced by migrants when separating from their context of origin, including family, customs and social groups, while adapting to new cultures and environments. The results of this study contribute to the understanding of adaptation processes and psychosocial support needs for the Colombian migrant population.
