Resumen
Challenges and opportunities of the implementation of 4.0 technologies in food logistics in Santa Marta presents the need to investigate how industry 4.0 can contribute to food logistics in Santa Marta, in addition to identifying whether its application is being correct or not, with the aim of "Analyzing challenges and opportunities in the implementation of 4.0 technologies in food logistics in Santa Marta". An exploratory and descriptive methodology was implemented, where through the triangulation of information based on publications, case studies, official documents and an interview, it was found that industry 4.0 has multiple uses in terms of food logistics, being useful and maintaining its principles of process optimization and facilitation of data volumes. but that companies do not develop the full potential offered by its tools, they are used considerably and these are not clear about the concept of "Industry 4.0", which contributes to the little capacity to develop these technologies; in addition, the lack of connectivity in the country makes the pillars of the industry in these regions unusable, so government support is required to increase connectivity. It is concluded that Santa Marta has the potential to digitize, technify and develop food logistics, but that there are great challenges to overcome.
