Resumen
Alzheimer's disease remains one of the leading causes of irreversible cognitive and functional decline in older adults. As the disease progresses, profound impairments in communication, feeding, and mobility lead to total dependence, significantly increasing caregiver burden. In this setting, palliative care shifts the focus toward the preservation of comfort, dignity, and quality of life, prioritizing ethical, person-centered decision-making.
