Resumen
The aim of this research is to analyze the narratives about the parenting skills of a group of homosexual parents, with the objective of fostering reflection on the possibility of using different mediation models for conflict resolution in this type of family. The research was conducted using a qualitative approach, which allowed fathers and mothers to narrate, from their own experiences, how they forge strong connections amid the cultural and social challenges that persist in family diversity. (Cárdenas and Calderón, 2023; Acosta et al., 2024). The findings show that, although mediation strategies are used informally, they significantly help improve harmony, respect, and communication at home. At the same time, parenting skills emerge as a fundamental resource for guiding children with empathy, love, and understanding, regardless of the caregivers' sexual orientation.
