Resumen
Work at heights is performed in various economic sectors; however, the construction sector is currently characterized by high exposure to these activities during construction phases. In Colombia, Resolution 4272 of 2021 regulates all aspects of work at heights and outlines new provisions to consider for the implementation of control and intervention measures aimed at preventing accidents during exposure to this risk. Studies cited in the article published by Intersalud Ocupacional indicate that by 2024, the number of workplace accidents in Colombia will be alarming. due to its increase in the last year, since the reported accidents were approximately 522,160 with an increase rate of 4.42 accidents per 100 workers, of which 84 were fatalities in the construction sector, increasing significantly by 47.4% compared to the year 2022, due to inherent risks such as falls, handling of heavy machinery and work at heights (1), according to the above, with this document, it is intended to implement a prevention program for safe work at heights with the objective of controlling and reducing the probability of accidents during the execution of the project on the viaduct located in the city of Bogotá.
