Resumen
Infections caused by bacteria of the genus Salmonella constitute a public health problem, and their management is compromised by the increasing resistance to fluoroquinolones, in which plasmids carrying the qnrB19 gene play a key role. The aim of this study was to identify and compare the genetic elements carrying the qnrB19 gene in genomes of Salmonella spp. recovered from the swine production chain and from clinical cases in Colombia.
