Resumen
This undergraduate thesis addresses the design and development of an outdoor furniture system made of concrete incorporating recycled plastics, aimed at fostering spaces for pauses and active rest in university environments. Based on experimental research, tests were conducted with different concrete formulas, varying the proportions of aggregate, crushed PET, and other elements. Simultaneously, tests were carried out on molds, textures, colors, and patterns, with the molds being the central element of the process, as they allowed for defining the geometry, the joining system, and the feasibility of manufacturing at full scale. The tests led to the creation of a 1:5 scale prototype, which demonstrates the technical and industrial viability of the furniture.
