Resumen
Decree 572 of May 28, 2025, in Colombia, arose from the Colombian Nacional Government's need to collect withholding tax in advance and close the gap between income tax liability and withholdings made at the economic activity level. This allows for greater clarity and predictability in tax payments, combating tax evasion in sectors with high levels of informality or systematic evasion. Micro-entrepreneurs are the population studied, and the aim is to understand the social, economic, and financial impact.
