The educational demands of the 21st century highlight the need to promote, from the earliest years of schooling, scientific competencies that enable students to interpret phenomena, formulate explanations, and actively participate in increasingly technological environments. Within this framework, the present study analyzed the development of scientific inquiry competence in early childhood education students through a STEM approach, by integrating structured learning experiences within the didactic sequence Dispoaventura, aimed at the construction of devices as a means to foster processes of observation, experimentation, and modeling
