Resumen
Tax evasion in Colombia represents a fundamental problem that limits the State's ability to finance goods and services necessary for its citizens. Various studies estimate that evasion levels are close to 8% of the Gross Domestic Product (GDP). This is not only due to deficiencies in tax control but also involves the lack of a more robust tax education system in Colombia. Tax education is part of a strategy to strengthen awareness programs on tax compliance and increase knowledge of tax-related issues.
