Resumen
This research aims to develop a proposal that evaluates the current state of customs inspection times and their implications for the direct costs faced by importers. One of the main difficulties in the process of clearing imported goods in the country is undoubtedly the time involved in customs procedures, particularly regarding inspections. This situation often results in processing times exceeding the averages observed in Latin America, which reduces competitiveness and, directly or indirectly, increases costs throughout the logistics chain.
