Transferencia del conocimiento de la partería en una comunidad indígena

Resumen

Objective: To understand the processes of midwifery knowledge transfer within the Indigenous community of San Francisco, in the municipality of Puerto Nariño, Amazonas. Methodology: A focused ethnographic approach was adopted, characterized by periods of fieldwork and short follow-up visits, which allowed for greater intensity and reliability in data collection. Data were gathered through participant observation, focus groups, and field diaries. Inclusion criteria considered individuals who had practiced midwifery for more than five years, were actively practicing, and were of legal age. Participant selection was guided by the principle of relevance.
