Resumen
The textile industry, and the garment sector in particular, produces mountains of post-industrial waste daily, which rarely find a way back into the world. Among these materials, denim stands out as a paradoxical contradiction: a cultural symbol, a highly durable fabric, and simultaneously a “blue monster” that grows silently in warehouses and workshops, a direct result of fast fashion and accelerated consumption. However, within its discarded fibers remains a material memory that invites us to rethink its fate and recognize its aesthetic, structural, and symbolic potential within contemporary design.
