Resumen

The advent of renewable energies has highlighted the importance of harnessing the sun's astronomical phenomena through systems like photovoltaics, which transform solar radiation into electrical energy. This has generated a need to characterize such systems to maximize their efficiency and develop new methodologies adapted to the local environment. Based on these premises, and considering that the Antonio Nariño University, Tunja campus, has two solar panels for electricity supply, this study proposes to determine the performance and energy output of one of these panels. This will be achieved by periodically measuring irradiance, voltage, current, and power with zenithal movement (south and north tilt) at different times of day. The results will allow us to understand the panel's characteristics under the various natural climatic conditions found in the area, utilize institutionally available measurement tools, and promote the use of solar energy to contribute to knowledge and new technological proposals.
