(PLSV) Plan local de seguridad vial para el municipio de Belén de Umbría en el casco urbano

Resumen

The Belén de Umbría Local Road Safety Plan (PLSV) aims to reduce accidents through comprehensive actions that promote safe and sustainable mobility. The assessment revealed problems such as an increase in accidents, particularly among motorcyclists; poor signage; the absence of pedestrian infrastructure; and road deterioration. According to the plan, strategies are based on traffic control, infrastructure improvements, institutional strengthening, and road safety education. In addition, it proposes coordination between the community, the Mayor's Office, the Transit Secretariat, and national agencies to carry out projects that prioritize the protection of life, risk avoidance, and the sensible use of public space. The PLSV seeks to achieve quantifiable results in transportation management, civic culture, and road safety using resources from royalties, inter-institutional agreements, and municipal funds. This plan, in its entirety, is a fundamental tool for guiding local decisions toward a more organized, safe, and participatory mobility system for the benefit of the municipality's citizens.
