This work presents the design and implementation of a measurement and analysis system for the characterization of the UM7-LT gyroscope (Pololu 2763). The main objective is to strengthen practical training in instrumentation, control, and robotics at Universidad Antonio Nariño. The methodology is organized into six phases: technical review of the sensor, design of the testing protocol, construction of a rigid mechanical base, development of a Python application for data acquisition through a USB-UART connection, recording of raw data under static conditions, and statistical analysis of the results. The experimental runs were conducted over several continuous hours, keeping the sensor completely still and operating at a fixed frequency of 100 Hz, ensuring stable and reliable measurements. The analysis employed Allan Variance to identify the different types of noise and to determine stability and precision parameters, complemented by axis correlation when required. The results showed that the UM7- LT presents stable behavior consistent with its commercial class and leaves a functional, replicable, and easy-to-use tool for teaching and research in the field of instrumentation.
