Resumen
This undergraduate thesis develops a sectoral urban project focused on the design of the Linear Revitalization Park for the ecological structure of the Río de Oro, located between the municipalities of San Juan de Girón and Bucaramanga, Santander, Colombia. Based on a detailed diagnosis integrating environmental, social, landscape, and urban analyses, the project addresses the complex challenges faced by Section E of the Río de Oro, identified in CDMB reports as one of the most polluted and degraded water sectors in the metropolitan area. The project recognizes the limitations and challenges associated with high levels of untreated domestic and industrial discharges, informal settlements, and loss of ecological connectivity, and proposes integrated solutions that combine urban design strategies, passive environmental technologies, and participatory approaches to revitalize the river corridor.
