Resumen
This doctoral research addressed the persistence of mathematics assessment practices focused on measuring final products, which prove insufficient to capture and promote mathematical thinking processes. Its objective was to develop and validate the MECSIRCOM model (Assessment Model for the Construction of Robust Meaning of Mathematical Concepts), grounded in the integration of the TRU (Teaching for Robust Understanding) and DNR (Duality, Necessity, and Repeated Reasoning) frameworks, employing challenging problems inspired by mathematical Olympiads as a formative assessment context.
