Revitalización Del Entorno Urbano del Panóptico (BIC) Como Estrategia De Mejoramiento Del Espacio Público En El Centro De Ibagué
Abstract The present thesis, “Revitalization of the Urban Environment of the Panoptico (BIC) as a Strategy for Improving Public Space in the Center of Ibagué,” aims to recover one of the most representative areas of the city. This sector concentrates the identity, culture, and economic development of the Tolima capital and houses some of its most significant cultural heritage assets. However, several issues were identified in the area, such as a quantitative and qualitative deficit of effective public space, vehicular congestion along its main roads, and public space encroachment, where vehicular traffic predominates over pedestrian flow, affecting both the attractiveness of the city center and the quality of life of its residents and visitors.
