Resumen
This undergraduate project proposes the design of a linear park and the urban and landscape recovery of the Chípalo River basin, along the section between 69th and 77th streets in the Jordán neighborhood, within communes 5 and 6 of Ibagué city. The intervention is conceived as an integrated strategy to revitalize public space, restore the river’s ecological function, and strengthen the relationship between the community and its natural environment. The applied methodology combines qualitative and quantitative approaches, supported by territorial, social, and environmental analyses, as well as by the evaluation of the area’s Effective Public Space (EPE). The proposed design incorporates sustainability, accessibility, and community participation criteria, fostering active mobility, ecological balance, and social cohesion. This project aims to consolidate an urban environmental corridor that enhances the inhabitants’ quality of life and promotes the regeneration of Ibagué’s urban landscape.
