Resumen
Mining is an essential activity for a country's economic growth, to the point that many countries are entirely dependent on it. Mining also generates a significant environmental impact, affecting all components of ecosystems. Therefore, it is necessary to reconcile this activity with its surrounding environment—it is essential as a transformative force—while also conserving environmental goods and services. Three tools exist for this purpose: Territorial and Mining Planning, Environmental Impact Assessment, and the Restoration of areas affected by mining activities.
