Resumen
This study aimed to understand the narratives surrounding shyness, social skills, parenting, and overprotective parenting among adolescents and young adults from single-parent families. A qualitative approach with a narrative design was employed, allowing for an in-depth exploration of the experiences and meanings that participants attribute to their family and social dynamics. The sample consisted of adolescents and young adults from single-parent families. Data collection was conducted through open-ended interviews, which facilitated an understanding of their meanings regarding shyness, their forms of social interaction, and the parenting practices they received.
