Resumen
In the department of Cundinamarca, sheep farming is a significant livestock activity in rural areas, owing to its contribution to food security and the economic development of these regions (Instituto Colombiano Agropecuario, 2023). However, while the activity offers benefits to the region, it faces certain limitations associated with extensive management practices; consequently, special attention must be paid to animal welfare, environmental sustainability, and productivity.
