Resumen

Fungal and bacterial endometritis are among the leading causes of infertility. Fungal endometritis is relatively uncommon in mares, as it is generally considered an opportunistic infection that develops only when there is a pre-existing alteration in the uterine or vaginal environment. Endometritis—an infectious and inflammatory process of the endometrium—significantly affects reproductive performance.
