Olvido progresivo

Resumen

Olvido progresivo is a visual project approached from an atemporal perspective. In this way, it proposes to subvert the contextual idea of specific periods through a metaphorical suspension of time, dissolving the notions of past, present, and future, resulting in an allegory between memory and everyday life. This project is a visual and conceptual investigation that reflects on the connections between personal memories, objects as symbolic representations of daily life, and the passage of time understood through nostalgia. This intention unfolds through three initial drawing works — Progressive Forgetting, Self-Consumption, and Unburdening — in which the figure of the baby doll becomes a metaphor for childhood and memory, while decontextualizing the idea of time within a space that gathers used, broken, and forgotten dolls as representations of absence, memory, abandonment, and emotional everydayness.
