Resumen
This capstone project proposes a comprehensive inventory management model for Electronic Systems JGP, an SME in the automotive sector specializing in the maintenance of heavy and medium-heavy trucks in Bogotá and Cundinamarca. An initial assessment identified excessive inventory growth (approximately COP 740 million in 2024) driven by reactive purchasing, a lack of reliable forecasting, and discrepancies between physical stock and system records. A Pareto analysis determined that six critical items—15W40 mineral oil, coolant, lithium grease, fuel filters, curtain cables, and gear oil—account for 76.5% of the total inventory value.
