Resumen

The construction of Bogotá's First Metro Line faces urban engineering challenges due to the city's high population density and the complexity of its underground networks, impacting public space. The main problem is coordinating infrastructure systems to avoid interference, delays, and cost overruns, a situation exacerbated by regulations, safety concerns, and management deficiencies. The civil engineering intern's participation supports design verification, activity control, and cost management. This work analyzes the relocation of networks in mass transit projects and their impact on public space. HECMAN CONSTRUCCIONES SAS provides labor and technical support to create safer and more accessible urban spaces. The theoretical framework underscores the importance of public space and the role of civil engineering in infrastructure, highlighting technical supervision, project management (CPM), cost control (BOQ, APU), and digital tools (Aconex). Bogotá, with its high population density and aging networks, demands improved mobility. The Metro project seeks to reorganize networks and renovate public space, requiring careful planning to minimize disruptions. It is a key intervention for sustainable mobility and urban development.
