Resumen
The water is one of the essential resources for economic development and population growth, although this has increased the demand and pollution of water sources, together with climate change and other factors have been causing a shortage of water worldwide. With the growing problem, the government entities of home country have been obliged and need to create policies and instruments to mitigate the alterations to the quality of the resource, manage its proper use and propose strategies that reduce the demand for the resource and its protection, for its conservation and enjoyment in the future, that is, thinking about sustainable development.
