Resumen
The present degree work called: ”Development of environmental initiatives based on the socio-environmental service of the Jos´e celestino mutis botanical garden for prioritized schools in Bogotá”; An analysis of the state in which the theme of environmental education is found in educational institutions such as Luis Angel Arango, IED Jackelin, IED Republic of Colombia and finally Scalas Educational Center, located in different locations in the city of Bogotá In order to achieve the objectives, information gathering strategies such as prior knowledge of the students, some surveys, presentations and recreational activities of the topics to be addressed during the social service were used.
