Resumen
This research aimed to design an oral health education guide for partially edentulous patients at the Antonio Nariño University, Neiva campus, to strengthen their knowledge and habits in order to prevent progression to total edentulism. Methodologically, a co-creation approach was used with a sample of 90 partially edentulous patients, who completed a structured 21-item survey on knowledge, oral hygiene practices, and preventive attitudes. Based on the results, a guide was designed with illustrated content, accessible language, practical guidance, and self-assessment activities. Key findings included conceptual gaps regarding edentulism, limitations in the use of complementary oral hygiene aids, and a high willingness to receive oral health education. The guide was validated by five experts, achieving CVC values between 0.92 and 0.99, which supported its relevance, clarity, and educational value.
