Resumen
Child maltreatment constitutes one of the most concerning social problems in Colombia, due to its implications for the well-being and integral development of boys and girls. This situation represents a challenge for institutions, families, and professionals in the social field, who play a fundamental role in the prevention, detection, and intervention regarding violations of children’s rights. In this sense, the present article aims to analyze the state of research on child maltreatment in Colombia, based on a systematic review of the literature, and to understand the contributions from social work. Methodologically, a systematic literature review is conducted, based on the search, selection, and analysis of academic and normative sources, under previously defined inclusion criteria
