Violencia de género en contextos comunitarios: conocer la percepción de las mujeres sobre la violencia de género en el sector Ricaurte del barrio Olaya Herrera

Resumen

TGender-based violence is a persistent social problem that affects women, girls, and adolescents, generating negative consequences on their physical, psychological, and social well-being. In Colombia, this issue is reflected in high reported figures and the persistence of structural factors such as inequality, patriarcado, and the normalization of violence in interpersonal relationships. At the local level, the city of Cartagena has shown a significant increase in cases, especially among young populations. This study aims to analyze the perception of women from the Olaya Herrera neighborhood, Ricaurte sector, regarding gender-based violence, in order to identify its causes and consequences and propose prevention strategies from a Social Work perspective. The research is conducted using a qualitative approach, focusing on understanding the social dynamics and experiences of the community.
